11 July, 2011
Early Phase: Woree State School (eLearning Centre), Middle/Senior Phase: (Cairns Colonial Club– Manunda) Cairns, QLD

We’re back! If you enjoyed the 2010 conference day @ JCU last year, you will love this year’s offerings, as the event will be staged over 2 venues.

Early Phase Teachers (strictly limited number) can avail themselves of a range of “hands-on” workshops at the eLearning Centre @ Woree State School while Middle & Senior Phase Teachers can take part in the traditional mini-conference format of keynote speakers, elective sessions and a trade show. Technology in the Tropics: eLearning is hosted by the Queensland Society for Information Technology in Education (Far North Queensland Chapter) and promises to once again be the premier eLearning professional development opportunity for Far North Qld educators. This pupil free day program will provide vital information on current directions for eLearning in schools and provide stimulating, practical workshops presented by a talented range of local and state speakers. Topics include engagement in eLearning, Learning Place, OneSchool for teachers, IWB’s, Video and “green rooms”, robotics, mobile technologies, 1:1 computing, etc…..

Once again, there will also be a great Trade Show, highlighting the best of what is on offer to North Queensland Schools. Come & join us! No TRS is necessary
